From 27-31 March 2022, the primates meeting was held in the UK. All the Primates Bishops of the Anglican Communion joined the primates meeting. The Respected Moderator of the Church of Bangladesh, The Most Revd. Samuel Sunil Mankhin joined the primates meeting in the UK. During the primates meeting, our moderator visited the USPG office in London. The respected moderators of the CSI & CNI also joined our Moderator to visit the office of USPG.
Last 13th -18th March 2022, The General Secretary of the USPG Revd. Dr. Duncan Dormor and the Asia and the Middle East Regional Manager Revd. Davidson Solanki came to visit the Church of Bangladesh. During their visit, they did a meeting at the Synod office. At that meeting, our respected Moderator give them word to send 1000 Euro to support Ukraine. That is why on 30th March during the primates meeting our Moderator went to visit the USPG office in the UK and handed over a cheque of 1000 Euro to the USPG General Secretary.
The USPG comments on this support, “We’ve even had support from as far away as the Church of Bangladesh, which gave £1,000 to the appeal, with the Most Rev’d Samuel Sunil Mankhin visiting the USPG office to offer his support in person for the Ukrainian.”
