Church of Bangladesh Partners Consultation has held from 1-2nd November 2012 at at CCDB Hope Foundation, Savar, Dhaka. First day for Church evangelical activities and Second day for social development programmes of the COB. The discussions of both days were around specific themes. To give more focus on the points of the thematic discussions the participants sat in small groups and put forward recommendations to meet the needs and finding scopes and roles of Church and partners.

25 years of the Pastoral Ministry ofthe Rt. Rev. Paul Shishir Sarker
By the year 2012 Rt. Rev. Paul Shishir Sarkar has accomplished his 25 years service in pastoral Ministry of Church of Bangladesh. He was ordained as a deacon in January 1987. The occasion was celebrated through a special service of thanks giving arranged by Dhaka Diocese of COB on 22 September 2012. People attended the occasion expressed their gratitude and conveyed heartfelt thanks to him for his relentless service to Church. The Moderator in exchange gave thanks to all for their cooperation and asked blessing of God and continued support from them for his future ministry and pastoral care.
A seminar was held from 5-8 September, 2012 at St. Peter’s Church, Ratonpur Parish for the dropout youths. The theme of the seminar was, “ Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Rt. Rev. Barry Morgan, bishop of Llandaff Diocese and Archbishop of Wales and his wife made their significant visit from 10th to 18th February, 2012. They have visited Jobarpar deanery of Dhaka Diocese and Ballovepur deanery of Kushtia Diocese with this short time. Two main events were the Barosabha of Jobarpar deanery in Barisal and Dhanyabudhbar Sabha of Ballovepur deanery at Karpasdanga. In these both revival meetings Bishop Barry preached the word of God in the communion service and they were translated in Bengali for the worshipers.
