Women fellowship Seminar held at Paitapukur

On the 24th–25th of August 2012 a women fellowship seminar of the Rajshahi deanery held at Paitapukur in the district of Rajshahi. The theme of the seminar was taken from the “Romans 12:2” and the Diocesan Bishop had spoken on the theme. Around 150 women from the different churches of the Rajshahi Deanery and including from the newly planted churches attended in the seminar. There had been some  important topics i.e. Church health and HIV/AIDS etc. including some topic from  the Bible for the women. A cultural function organized by the Deanery women fellowship committee and a Bible based short  open stage drama. The seminar was mainly organized by the Rajshahi Deanery women fellowship for 14 old and new churches of western zone of the Deanery.

On 8th July, 2013 the Church of Bangladesh’s Hymn Book’s 6th Edition has been launched by the Moderator of Church of Bangladesh and the Deputy Moderator of Church of Bangladesh during the Clergy Retreat, which held at Khulna.All the Clergy of Church of Bangladesh and their wives were present at the ceremony.

Retreat to consolidate the faith and trust in God

A retreat organized by Synod Women’s Fellowship on 15 March 2013 at Retreat & Conference Centre, Savar. The theme of retreat was “God, the Lord, is my strength;” Habakkuk 3; 19.

Consecration of Deacon

ConDeaconOn 24 February, 2013 three persons were consecrated as Deacon. Rt Revd Paul S Sarker conducted the ceremony through a service on the premises of St Peter’s Church in Kaligram. The persons ordained as deacons were, James Baroi, Cornelius Mondol and Adhir Gathia. Revd Shourabh Pholia delivered sermon in the service. He said we all are servants of God. God exists in His greatest creation of humankinds. The servant who does not serve the people he/she is not a servant of God. The servant who does not love the people he/she doesn’t love God. For serving people, a good relationship with God is essential. We should not forget that we are servant of God over the whole span of life.
