On March 19, 2025, a one-day fasting meditation session was held for new believers of the Church of Bangladesh at St. Joseph Church in Khagrachari Hill District. The theme of the session was also “The Attraction of the Cross.” Rev. Ripon Roy, parish priest of Chittagong Christ Church, spoke on the topic. He explained that before Jesus, the cross was a symbol of hatred and punishment, used only for the most heinous criminals. However, Jesus Christ, who was innocent and without fault, died on the cross. Since His crucifixion, the cross has become a symbol of hope and reverence.

The session concluded with an overview of the activities of the Church of Bangladesh, presented by Program Director Mr. Suvojit Mondal. He stated that the Church of Bangladesh is active in ten key areas: education, healthcare, children’s programs, theology and worship, social development, mission and outreach, fellowship, youth programs, women’s initiatives, and services for the elderly and people with disabilities.
