From January 19th to January 26th, the Diocese of Barishal celebrated the Unity Octave, focusing on fostering unity among churches. The observance began on January 20th with a service at St. Peter’s Cathedral (Catholic Church) led by Rev. Richard Biswas, who emphasised the importance of unity.
The highlight of the week was the inter-church prayer meeting on January 21st at St. Peter’s Church (CoB), where Rev. Richard Uttam Biswas and Fr. Milon Dewri spoke on the theme of unity. The gathering included pastors, church leaders, and laypeople and concluded with a love feast that strengthened fellowship among attendees.
Overall, the week was a meaningful reminder of the call to Christian unity.
