Awareness Training on Anti-Human Trafficking Conducted for Women’s Group in Rajshahi

An awareness training on anti-human trafficking was successfully conducted for a women’s group in the Rajshahi deanery. The training session, held on 28 June 2024, saw the participation of 70 women, primarily from tribal groups and border areas. The program was facilitated by Mr. Raja Mosses, the program coordinator of the Diocese of Durgapur, India, along with his dedicated team. The training aimed to educate and empower the women on the critical issue of human trafficking, equipping them with the knowledge to protect themselves and their communities from this pervasive threat. The session highlighted the signs of human trafficking, preventive measures, and the importance of community vigilance. By raising awareness among these vulnerable groups, the initiative seeks to foster a safer environment and reduce the risk of trafficking in the region. This training is part of a broader effort to combat human trafficking and support the welfare of marginalized communities, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to safeguard their rights and well-being.
