On 30th November 2022 AD, Barishal Diocese held a seminar on “What to do against Human Trafficking” at All Saints Church, Buruabari, of Barishal Diocese. The theme of the seminar was: ‘Deliver the needy and the poor, deliver them from the hand of the wicked’ (Psalm 82:4). All priests, catechists, and deanery leaders of Jobarpar deanery of Barishal Diocese attended the seminar. Its objective was to raise awareness of human trafficking among all priests, catechists and leaders and they actively participated in the event to work for prevention of human trafficking. At the same time, we should work for those who are poor and unemployed so that they may not fall into danger in any way

A celebration took place at Haluaghat on 28th March 2014 to celebrate the centenary of the St. Mary’s Sisterhood. The day was initiated by a morning Holy Communion Service with the Revd Albert Walter principal of St. Andrew’s College delivering the sermon in the service.
Along with others the Moderator Bishop Paul S Sarker and State Minister, Ministry of Social Welfare of Bangladesh Government were present in the occasion. To mark the day a ‘Centenary Souvenir’ was published.
Rt. Rev. Barry Morgan, bishop of Llandaff Diocese and Archbishop of Wales and his wife made their significant visit from 10th to 18th February, 2012. They have visited Jobarpar deanery of Dhaka Diocese and Ballovepur deanery of Kushtia Diocese with this short time. Two main events were the Barosabha of Jobarpar deanery in Barisal and Dhanyabudhbar Sabha of Ballovepur deanery at Karpasdanga. In these both revival meetings Bishop Barry preached the word of God in the communion service and they were translated in Bengali for the worshipers.
Church of Bangladesh Partners Consultation has held from 1-2nd November 2012 at at CCDB Hope Foundation, Savar, Dhaka. First day for Church evangelical activities and Second day for social development programmes of the COB. The discussions of both days were around specific themes. To give more focus on the points of the thematic discussions the participants sat in small groups and put forward recommendations to meet the needs and finding scopes and roles of Church and partners.
