Recently EKOTA Project of CBSDP organised a study tour for teen aged girls. There 108 girls joined the tour. All the girls were from other faith communities. They visited the museum of Bangabandhu Shekh Muzibur Rahman. Through this tour CBSDP tried to aware them regarding early marriage, education on adolescence period, health related issues, self-development, immunization, eve teasing, skilll development training, human rights, family laws, personal hygiene etc. Through this programme they gained knowledge and enhanced their confidence.

A celebration took place at Haluaghat on 28th March 2014 to celebrate the centenary of the St. Mary’s Sisterhood. The day was initiated by a morning Holy Communion Service with the Revd Albert Walter principal of St. Andrew’s College delivering the sermon in the service.
Along with others the Moderator Bishop Paul S Sarker and State Minister, Ministry of Social Welfare of Bangladesh Government were present in the occasion. To mark the day a ‘Centenary Souvenir’ was published.
As usual February this year was the month of ‘Spiritual Revival’ gatherings in the Church of Bangladesh (COB) and they took place in six deaneries. Every congregation separate selected separate themes and the speaker discussed the theme. A range of 1000-5000 people gathered from different villages and towns assembled and many of them walked a long distance to the venue. They ate simple food and spent the cold winter nights in basic facilities with one aim to attain mercy and blessings from God. At all the congregations the Bishops, Priests and guests conveyed revival messages to attendees.
