Catechists and their spouse’s seminar of Kushtia Diocese was held in Rupantor Centre, Kushtia from 14 to 16 August 2012. All the catechists and their spouses attended the seminar. A good number of resource persons took part in the seminar under guidance of the Diocesan Bishop Samuel. S. Mankhin and discussed issues particularly on revival of faith and ways of serving the community together.

On 20 December 2013 14 victims severely affected by the collapse of Rana Plaza were provided with some support by COB to enable them to initiate alternative livelihoods. The Moderator Bishop Paul S Sarker of COB handed over support to the victims at Savar Conference Centre. Mr Michael Roy Asia Facilitator of Anglican Alliance, Revd Shourabh Pholia Mission Programme Secretary, Mr Thomas Das Director of CBSDP, Mr Paul Nishit Das the Director of CMCY, Revd Mrittunjoy Mondal Parish Priest in Savar and relatives of the victims were present at the event.
On 24 February, 2013 three persons were consecrated as Deacon. Rt Revd Paul S Sarker conducted the ceremony through a service on the premises of St Peter’s Church in Kaligram. The persons ordained as deacons were, James Baroi, Cornelius Mondol and Adhir Gathia. Revd Shourabh Pholia delivered sermon in the service. He said we all are servants of God. God exists in His greatest creation of humankinds. The servant who does not serve the people he/she is not a servant of God. The servant who does not love the people he/she doesn’t love God. For serving people, a good relationship with God is essential. We should not forget that we are servant of God over the whole span of life.
