It is indeed a big disaster, and we feel deeply shock when it occurs upon lack of care. It has quite common that high-rising buildings are being built following no building code of Bangladesh. Reasons whatever it is behind of that, it is causing enormous loss of valuable lives.
We mourn the death of all innocent lives that lost following the collapse of the nine- story building at Savar, Dhaka on 24 April, 2013. It is reported that around 150 people so far have been killed by the incident and that number is escalating.
We request the concern to take the issue seriously as we don’t have to see it again.
May we pray for the bereaved families and the peace of the departed souls.
