On 24 October 2025, Christ Church, Church of Bangladesh, Annual Spiritual Revival Meeting was held. The theme for this year was: “And the Spirit of the Lord; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:17).
The chief guest, the Honorable Moderator of the Church of Bangladesh, Right Rev. Samuel Sunil Mankhin, preached on the theme. In his sermon, he emphasized that those whose hearts are guided by the Spirit of the Lord can truly live in freedom. He illustrated this by saying that if a bamboo flute is filled with mud and dirt, it cannot produce a melodious sound—similarly, our hearts must be kept pure to allow God’s Spirit to dwell within us. When the Word of the Lord fills our hearts, we experience true freedom and joy.
The highlight of the meeting was the Healing Service, conducted by Right Rev. Samuel Sunil Mankhin with the assistance of the priests. Special prayers were offered for the sick and in remembrance of the departed members of the church.
The program began at 11:00 a.m. with an Aarti to welcome the guests, followed by a candle-lighting ceremony to inaugurate the sessions. The gathering was attended by Chakma and Marma indigenous Christians, preachers from new congregations in Khagrachhari and Bandarban, and members from various churches across Chittagong.
