
Reverend Mark Robin Mondal passed away peacefully at his home in Nittyanandapur on October 14, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. He was 77 years,
He was laid to rest at the Nittyanandapur Congregational Cemetery on October 15, 2025, at 12 noon. The last rites were conducted by Bishop Hemen Halder of the Kushtia Diocese, along with several priests.
Rev. Mondal pursued theological studies at St. Andrew’s Theological College (Church of Bangladesh) and a one-year special program from Bishop’s College, Calcutta. He was ordained as a deacon in his native village, Nittyanandapur, on June 16, 1985, and ordained as a priest at the Oxford Mission Epiphany Church on June 21, 1987.
His ministry began in 1976 as a catechist in Karpasdanga Parish, after which he faithfully served as a priest in various parishes, often in remote areas.
Rev. Mondal was known for his humility, simplicity, and deep faith. He was widely loved and respected by his congregation. His ideals, ethics, and spiritual values remain a source of pride and inspiration for all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mrs. Deepti Mondal, two sons, and other family members, along with a wide circle of friends, parishioners, and church devotees who cherish his memory.
