Shalom Mongla project organized a new project launch meeting on 21st October 2024 at the Upazila Executive Officer’s office. Project Manager Mr. Saurendro Mandal presented the 3-year project “Resilient Coastal Communities of Bangladesh” from June 2024 to May 2027.
Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Afia Sarmin was the chief guest, Mrs. Shampa Baroi, CCT Coordinator of Tearfund was the special guest and Shalom Acting Director Mr. Senoy Sarkar, Rt. Reverend Shaurav Folia, Department Moderator COB is the chairperson of this meeting and representatives of local GO and NGO representatives attended this inaugural meeting.
The new project will include 2 Unions and 1 Municipality of Mongla Upazila of Bagerhat District, 3 Unions of Dakop Upazila and 6 sites of Khulna City Corporation and will work with 1500 families and cover a total of 12690 direct and indirect project participants.
