Shalom, Church of Bangladesh and Leprosy Mission International Bangladesh are jointly working in Meherpur and Barishal district through the “Advocacy Empowerment Project (AEP)” and FREE projects. Shalom is working in partnership by giving emphasis to leprosy control, leprosy awareness, leprosy case identification, community based rehabilitation, advocacy on leprosy, referral to medical service providers (Govt, NGO’s) and follow up support. 1st October 2022 there was a mass awareness program held at Meherpur district on the current picture of leprosy patients and mental, medical, and financial support to the leprosy patients. Professor Mr. Farhad Hossain MP, Honorable State Minister of Public Administration was present as the chief guest; Dr. Md. Jawaharul Anam Siddiqui, Civil Surgeon was present as the special guest; Prof. Dr. Sakil Ahmed, Director MBDC, DGHS was present as the guest and Dr. Mohammad Munsoor Alam Khan was present as the Chairman of the program.

A two-day long consultation of Church of Bangladesh took place from 31 May – 1 June, 2013 at Savar Conference Center of COB. The Theme of the consultation was “Education for enriching the life”, and Principal Rina Das, Martin Luther College, Dhaka spoke on the Theme. A total of 20 teachers from major schools of COB attended the consultation. Moderator of COB, Bishop Paul S Sarker and the Synod Education Coordinator Mrs. Janet Sarker were present the total period of the consultation.
