Early Sunday morning he went to St. Peter’s Church Ratonpur where he preached and consecrated the Lord’s Supper accompanied by Rev. Amit K. Mullick at the Easter service. The Church was full to capacity for the service. After having a short break Bishop Sarker went to the main Easter Service and ceremony at Karpasdanga. Here the Bishop joined with Bishop Samuel S. Mankhin, Mr. Joseph S. Mondal Synod Secretary, clergy of the deanery and a large congregation to consecrate the new church building of Christ Church. It was followed by a feast. COB is grateful to United Thanks Offering (UTO), Episcopal Church United States of America (ECUSA) for their generous support for this new church building. After the fellowship meal Bishop Sarker travelled to Jessore Christ Church Trade School via Khejura where he met the small congregation and shared a little message with them. It was organised by a local church leader Dr. Martin H. Chowdhury. Mr. Joseph S. Mondal was with Bishop Sarker up to Jessore as he is living there.
